For the third consecutive season, New York Giants nose tackle Dexter Lawrence has been named to the Pro Football Writer of America (PFWA) All-NFC Team.
Lawrence was named along the defensive line with Philadelphia’s Jalen Carter and former Giant Leonard Williams, who now plays for the Seattle Seahawks.
However, the 27-year-old Lawrence did not make the All-NFL Team, finishing behind Pittsburgh’s Cam Heyward and Kansas City’s Chris Jones for those honors.
Two other former Giants, Philadelphia running back Saquon Barkley and Green Bay safety Xavier McKinney, were named to both the All-NFC and All-NFL teams.
Giants rookie sensation Malik Nabers did not make the cut at wide receiver, falling short to Minnesota’s Justin Jefferson and Amon-Ra St. Brown of Detroit.
Earlier this month Lawrence, who played in just 12 of the Giants’ 17 games due to injury, was named to his third consecutive Pro Bowl Games.
Lawrence led the team in sacks (9.0) and made 44 tackles (23 solo), eight tackles for loss, and one forced fumble before he was placed on injured reserve (IR) on December 2.
