For the first time in his career, Max Kepler will play for a team not named the Twins.
The Berlin-born right fielder has shown flashes of stardom throughout his career in Minnesota but has struggled staying on the field. In 105 games last season, he hit eight homers while driving in 42 runs.
Kepler’s career-best season came in 2019 when he slugged 36 home runs, added 90 RBIs and finished 20th in MVP voting.
His career slash line in 10 years — all with the Twins — is .237/.318/.429.
Kepler will join a Phillies outfield that includes Nick Castellanos and Brandon Marsh.
