Everton, Fulham and Brighton all made it safely through to the Carabao Cup Third Round after comfortable victories over lower league opposition.
Brighton thrashed Championship strugglers Oxford United 6-0 at the Kassam Stadium, with goals coming from Stefanos Tzimas (2), Olivier Boscagli, Brajan Gruda, Diego Gomez and Tom Watson.
Everton picked up a second win at their new home, Hill Dickinson Stadium, with a 2-0 victory over League One Mansfield Town.
After a goalless first half, Carlos Alcaraz gave the Toffees the lead before Beto secured safe passage to round three with an 89th minute goal.
Meanwhile, Fulham beat Bristol City 2-0 at Craven Cottage. Marco Silva’s side saw off the Championship high-flyers via a George Tanner own goal after eight minutes before Raul Jimenez doubled the lead 13 minutes later.
