Stop 4 in Augusta is the biggest stop of the year in the EYBL. Many teams came into the weekend having already secured their spot in Peach Jam, but a handful of teams were on the edge and played their way into the final week. Tyran Stokes was again the most significant buzz of the weekend, but several other players left their mark in Augusta. With so much on the line, players from all classifications made their mark and contributed to their team’s success.
All three classifications had standout performances, and a few upsets were scattered across four days in Augusta. With Peach Jam set, several known players stood out, while a handful of lesser-known names left their mark during stop 4. Many teams and players are playing their best basketball of the summer, and it was evident in Augusta, leading up to Peach Jam.
Top 10 Prospects:
Tyran Stokes 6’7 SF Oakland Soldier – Class of 2026
Tyran Stokes was once again the benchmark for the EYBL during stop 4. He played a crucial role in leading his team to a 4-0 record at the final stop, securing a high seed heading into Peach Jam. Stokes is a dominant player on both ends of the court, consistently making impactful plays. He ranks among the top 10 in the EYBL with an average of 10 rebounds per game. As a high-energy defender, Stokes effectively disrupts opposing offenses with his length and speed. His versatility enables him to guard both larger players in the paint and smaller guards on the perimeter, which significantly contributes to his team’s success. Offensively, Stokes is a three-level scorer who frequently draws double teams. His athleticism is showcased in every game, highlighted by his ability to finish strong through contact and above the rim, including a highlight dunk in Game 1 of the weekend. The addition of a reliable long-range shot during the event in Augusta made Stokes a matchup nightmare throughout all four games. Over the weekend, he averaged 25.25 points, 12 rebounds, and 4.75 assists per game, shooting 50% from the field and 42.8% from beyond the arc.
Jordan Smith Jr. 6’2 CG Team Takeover – Class of 2026
Jordan Smith is likely the MVP of the EYBL heading into Peach Jam, as he has been the best player on the best team all season. Smith is the #2-ranked player in the country and constantly makes winning plays. A big-bodied strong guard with a high motor and tons of intensity, Smith is seemingly involved in every play. Smith has a quick first step and a tight handle, allowing him to get downhill in an instant and finish at or above the rim often. The addition of a knockdown shot will only enhance his offensive abilities, as he is shooting under 32% from three-point range this summer. A willing rebounder, Smith competes on the glass, averaging nearly eight rebounds per game this summer. Smith can play on or off the ball and has been a point of attack defender for Takeover, currently 4th in the EYBL in steals, averaging 2.4 per game.
Brandon McCoy 6’4 PG AZ Unity- Class of 2026
Brandon McCoy made his EYBL debut at stop four, fresh off winning a gold medal with Team USA. As a consensus top 10 player in the country, he certainly lived up to expectations in Augusta. McCoy played a crucial role for AZ Unity during this stop, helping his team achieve a 3-1 record, which included an impressive upset over the New York Rens on day two, securing their spot at Peach Jam. An elite athlete, McCoy effortlessly drives to the basket, finishing strong at or above the rim. He showcased his leaping ability with several crowd-pleasing dunks in Augusta. As a pure scorer, McCoy averaged 17.2 points per game while shooting 50% from the floor. Additionally, he possesses remarkable size for a guard; he effectively uses his strength to compete on the boards, averaging over 8 rebounds per game throughout the weekend.
Babatunde Oladotun 6’9 SF Team Durant – Class of 2027
The #1 rising junior in the country continued to thrive playing up during stop 4. Babatunde is a long, lengthy player with tremendous athleticism and a feel for the game. Despite missing the first session, Baba is second on his team in scoring and rebounding this summer. At 6’9, Oladotun is a defensive presence, altering shots at the rim and averaging more than one steal per game. The long-range shooting is still a work in progress, currently at 31% for the summer, but Babtunde converts at better than 50% inside the arc and around the basket. Despite his team missing Peach Jam, Babatunde closed the summer strong, averaging 17.5 points and eight rebounds on 53.7% shooting. His best game of the weekend came in game one against Team Herro with 28 points and 11 rebounds on 63% shooting.
Jason Crowe Jr. 6’3 PG Oakland Soldiers – Class of 2026
Crowe, playing alongside Tyran Stokes for the Oakland Soldiers, has formed one of the most formidable duos in the EYBL this summer. Crowe is ranked among the top 10 players and is one of the best scorers in the country. A score-first mentality makes Crowe a consistent matchup nightmare. The ability to make shots in bunches sets Crowe apart from his peers in the EYBL. Although Crowe is a volume shooter, he maintains a high shooting percentage from all areas of the court. His quick first step and tight ball-handling skills allow him to get to his spots and create separation for his jumper. Over the weekend, Crowe averaged more than 22 points per game, shooting 42.1% from the field and 45.1% from three-point range. The highlight of his weekend was a two-point victory against the Vegas Elite, where he exploded for 37 points and made 8 out of 9 attempts from long range.
AJ Williams 6’7 SF Georgia Stars – Class of 2028
Williams has established himself as the top player in the U15 circuit, leading his highly ranked Georgia Stars team. At his age, he possesses impressive size and length, along with the ability to lead the team effectively as a point guard. Ranked fourth in scoring with an average of 22 points per game, Williams has consistently demonstrated his capability to score when it matters most. He is a strong athlete with quick feet and an impressive second jump ability, which supports his performance on the boards, where he averages 6.9 rebounds per game. Williams plays with remarkable pace and consistently maintains control of the game. His shooting efficiency is noteworthy, as he has converted 45.1% of his shots this summer. During stop four, his best game came as he scored 26 points and grabbed seven rebounds, shooting 11-for-12 from the floor.
Kayden Allen 6’5 SF Team Thad-Class of 2026
Allen was one of the top scorers at Session 4, scoring from all three levels. He is a big guard with impressive size and strength on both ends of the floor. Allen was a matchup nightmare in Augusta, whether creating his shot or executing off the catch. This summer, he has been averaging just under 16 points per game, but at Stop 4, he raised his average to 22.25 points per game over four games. Allen is a strong athlete with quick feet and a tight handle, which allows him to navigate through defenses and elevate for his shots. He moves well without the ball, finding open spaces on the floor that set him up for easy baskets. With the ball in his hands, Allen effectively orchestrates the Team Thad offense, keeping defenses on their toes by scoring himself while also creating scoring opportunities for his teammates.
JJ Andrews 6’5 SG Bradley Beal Elite – Class of 2026
Andrews has been consistent all summer for his Bradley Beal Elite team, having scored in double figures all but one game. Averaging 18.9 points and 5.4 rebounds per game, Andrews has been a constant presence on both ends all summer. Andrews is a high-level athlete at his best on the run, as he finishes through contact with ease and often above the rim. Andrews influences the game both on and off the ball, as his movement and energy are constant. JJ is efficient on the offensive end, shooting 54.1% from the floor and 40% from beyond the arc on 40 attempts this summer. Andrews has been vital to his team as they enter the Peach Jam with a higher seed.
Qayden Samuels 6’5 SF Team Takeover – Class of 2026
Qayden Samuels continued his impressive performance this summer with Team Takeover during stop 4. He is currently ranked in the top 10 in scoring in the U17 classification, averaging 20.5 points per game. Samuels is a skilled player who utilizes his size and length effectively on both ends of the court. While not an elite athlete, he is precise in his movements and effectively leverages his strengths. During the session in Augusta, Samuels consistently scored at a high rate, contributing to Team Takeover’s perfect 4-0 record and helping them secure the top seed at Peach Jam. He is capable of scoring from all three levels and has an impressive shooting percentage of 40.9% from beyond the arc on 89 shots this summer. Samuels also maintains a good pace and can serve as the primary ball handler when needed, demonstrating the ability to either run the offense or create his shots in critical moments.
Maximo Adams 6’6 SF Vegas Elite -Class of 2026
Adams has been elite this summer in the EYBL, and it continued during stop 4. Ranked #3 in scoring and #1 in rebounding, Adams has been a constant presence this summer. Adams has been one of the best players on the circuit this summer and was vital earlier this year with a 38-point game, which gave Team Takeover their only loss of the summer. Adams is a 3-level scorer who has demonstrated the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rack, while also knocking down the long ball, shooting 40.6% from 3-point range on 64 attempts this summer. Adams also plays well underneath with his back to the basket and has exceptional footwork, allowing him to maneuver defenders and play through the contact. Adams was tremendous in Augusta, averaging 23.25 points and 11.5 rebounds per game on 52.5% shooting and 48.1% from beyond the arc, leading his team to a 3-1 record on the weekend and a Peach Jam bid.
EYBL U17 Eye Catchers:
Ahmad Hudson 6’7 PF JL3- Class of 2027
Hudson is an elite two-sport athlete, currently ranked as the #1 tight end and among the top 5 basketball players in the 2027 class. In the EYBL, he ranks 8th and averages 8.5 rebounds per game, playing a crucial role for his team as they head into Peach Jam. Hudson excels as a rim protector, averaging over one block per game, and is a leading voice on defense. He performs best in transition, consistently demonstrating his ability to drive to the rim and finish strong. His exceptional athleticism sets him apart, enabling him to compete against older players, as his size and strength can overpower opponents.
Luke Barnett 6’4 SG AZ Unity – Class of 2026
Luke Barnett has been vital for the AZ Unity this summer in the absence of Brandon McCoy. Third on the team in scoring coming into stop 4, Barnett has found ways to help his team throughout the season. Barnett is an instant spark for his team, with a scorers’ mentality, and can heat up in a hurry, much like he did in Augusta. For the summer, Barnett is averaging 13.4 points per game on 46.2% shooting and 38% from beyond the arc. His best game of the weekend came in the upset win over the New York Rens, where Barnett scored 20 points in just over 19 minutes of action on 63.6 percent shooting and 5-8 from beyond the arc. Barnett kept the defense close with his shooting and showed the ability throughout the weekend to put the ball on the floor and finish at the basket.
Vaughn Karvala 6’6 SF Team Herro – Class of 2026
Karvala continued his rise as one of the hottest players in the country during stop 4. Karvala is a lanky guard with the ability to score from all areas on the court. A smooth pace and good feel for the game enable Karvala to consistently find success. Averaging 14.7 points per game this summer, Karvala is efficient, shooting nearly 41% from the field this summer and 34.3% on 105 attempts from long range, including a 38% mark in Augusta. His best game of the weekend came against JL3, finishing with 28 points on 45% shooting and 50% from beyond the arc.
Ant Brown 6’1 PG Team Durant – Class of 2026
Brown is a constant source of energy for his team, demonstrating high intensity and tenacity every minute he’s on the floor. Throughout the summer, he has been a leader for Team Durant, serving as their leading scorer and defender. As a true point guard with a scorer’s mentality, Brown poses a significant challenge for opposing defenses. He averaged 18.9 points and 5.2 assists per game over the summer, shooting nearly 41% from the field. While his long-range shooting has been inconsistent at 29%, he can heat up quickly. He is at his best getting downhill or in transition, as his elite speed opens multiple scoring opportunities. Brown is a solid defender and willing rebounder, averaging more than one steal and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Kendre Harrison 6’7 PF Team CP3 – Class of 2026
Harrison is one of the most physically imposing players on the circuit and has been an anchor for his CP3 teams this summer. Harrison is a 6’7″, 230-pound bruiser who uses his size and strength to impact games. Harrison is the top-rated tight end in the class of 2026 and a high-level athlete on both ends of the floor. Harrison is lightning fast for his size and has elite jumping ability, allowing him to finish above the rim with ease. Harrison plays hard on both ends and is a defensive leader for his team. For the summer, Harrison is averaging 12.5 points on 48.3% shooting and 10.7 rebounds per game. Harrison is at his best battling underneath on the offensive glass, where he leads the EYBL, pulling in 5.3 per game.
Cayden Daughtry 5’11 PG Florida Rebels – Class of 2027
Daughtry has been outstanding all summer for his Florida Rebels team, which narrowly qualified for Peach Jam. He is one of the few 2027 players in the U17 class and has consistently stood out this year. Daughtry is a natural scorer, currently ranked 9th in the EYBL, averaging 20.7 points per game. Although he is one of the smaller players on the circuit, he utilizes his speed and exceptional ball-handling skills to navigate the court effectively. His quick first step allows him to bypass defenders and reach scoring positions, as he is shooting 43.6% from the floor this season. His most potent weapon is his 3-point shot, where he is connecting at an impressive rate of 45.9% on 61 attempts, placing him among the top 10 in that category.
EYBL U16 Eye Catchers:
CJ Rosser 6’9 PF Team United – Class of 2027
Standing at 6’9″, Rosser is currently the #3-ranked player in the 2027 class, and it’s clear why. He showcases impressive length and fluidity on the court, making the game appear effortless. He can stretch the floor with a smooth mid-range shot while also being able to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. In the post, Rosser is effective, capable of scoring with his back to the basket over both shoulders or turning to face the defender, using his speed to exploit mismatches against taller players. Improving his long-range shooting will enhance Rosser’s potential for a professional career, as he is currently hitting 24.5% on 49 attempts from beyond the arc. Defensively, Rosser utilizes his length well, averaging over one block and one steal per game. He is also a solid rebounder, averaging 7.4 rebounds per game this summer. His combination of size and athleticism enables him to jump over or reach around defenders when pursuing the ball.
Ryan Hampton 6’6 SF Drive Nation – Class of 2027
Hampton continued his scoring onslaught in Augusta as he ranks 4th overall in 16U with an average of 21.6 points per game. Hampton is a lanky, polished athlete who utilizes both skill and intelligence on both sides of the floor. A pure scorer with a rounded offensive game, Hampton has consistently shown the ability to score at a high clip throughout the summer. Hampton is a long, fluid athlete with quick feet and quick jumping ability, allowing him to finish at the rim over and around defenders. At his best in transition, Hampton can get to the basket quickly and finish with either hand. As the deep threat continues to grow, it will only enhance his overall game as he is shooting under 25% from long range for the summer. In Augusta, Hampton lit it up, averaging 21.5 points and 6.75 Rebounds on 46.15% shooting. His best game of the weekend came in a win over the Oakland Soldiers, where he had 26 points and 11 rebounds on 55.6% from the floor.
Beckham Black 6’0 PG AB Elite – Class of 2027
Black is one of the best point guards in the class of 2027 and the leader of his 10-1 JL3 team, as they finished first in Division A heading into Peach Jam. Black is a pass-first true point guard, leading the U16 team in assists by nearly 2 per game, averaging 8.1 assists per game. Black is a good athlete with a quick handle and the ability to finish above the rim. For the season, Black has shot well at 43% from the floor, but the lack of a knockdown long-range shot has been his only downfall at 15.4% on 26 attempts this summer. The last game of the weekend was his best of the summer, finishing with 17 points and 13 assists on 58.3% shooting.
King Gibson 6’5 PG Team United – Class of 2027
Gibson has been one of the most exciting players in the U16 division this season, thanks to his high-level scoring and elite athleticism. Gibson is 2nd on his team this summer, averaging 16.7 points per game. A 3-level scorer, Gibson has shown the ability to take over games this season. Highly efficient Gibson is shooting 46.5% from the floor and 42.9% from beyond the arc this summer. Gibson excels in transition, effectively operating as the lead guard. He creates easy scoring opportunities for his teammates while also finding openings for himself. In addition to his scoring prowess, Gibson averages nearly four rebounds per game, along with more than one block and steal per game this season.
Davion Thompson 6’3 SG Meanstreets – Class of 2027
Thompson is the top scorer in the 16U division of the EYBL and the driving force behind his Meanstreets team’s bid to Peach Jam. Davion has solid size from the guard spot and a scoring mentality that allows him to score in bunches. Averaging 23.5 points per game this season, Thompson has been efficient shoting 47.3% from the floor and just under 33% from deep for the year. In Augusta, Davion averaged 17.25 points, five rebounds, and 4.75 assists on 43.6% shooting, leading his team to a 4-0 record for the weekend. His best game came in a 4-point win against the Indy Heat as he scored 22 points on 47% from the floor and 50% from long range.
