Giants have choice of QBs in Daniel Jeremiah’s first 2025 mock draft fasterkora.xyz

What would the New York Giants do if they had their choice of quarterbacks when picking third overall in the 2025 NFL draft?

It’s an unlikely scenario but one NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah saw play out in his very first mock draft of the year.

With the first overall pick, the Tennessee Titans selected Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter. The Cleveland Browns followed that up with the selection of Colorado wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter, leaving every quarterback to the Giants.

Jeremiah believes general manager Joe Schoen wouldn’t hesitate in that scenario, calling the name of Miami quarterback Cam Ward.

The Giants are desperate for a quarterback. Ward’s strong arm and playmaking ability would be a great fit.

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders slides to the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 6 overall and Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe falls out of the first round entirely.

Obviously, the Giants would have no way of knowing they could get Milroe with their second-round pick but if they did, would they still select Ward?

Carter and Hunter being off the board increases the likelihood of a quarterback being taken in that spot, but if the Giants knew they’d have a shot at Milroe later on down the line, perhaps they would consider LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell or Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.

Ultimately, this scenario is one that would solve a pressing issue for the Giants and appease running back Tyrone Tracy Jr., who wants Ward in East Rutherford.
