KJ Edwards wasn’t expected to make a commitment until Aug. 2. It was also expected that Carthage, Texas, product was going to end up committing to the Texas Longhorns.
Surprise, surprise. A double surprise. On Tuesday, Edwards did two shocking things.
First, he announced a commitment well before he was expected to. Second, and more shocking to the recruiting world, was the fact that he announced a commitment to Mike Elko and the Texas A&M Aggies.
He’s coming off an official visit to College Station this past weekend, and that visit was apparently enough for him to decide to shut it down.
